Classes - School Programmes

Our programmes encompass many aspects of developmental drama that enhance communication skills, boost energy and enthusiasm, encourage listening and conversational skills, promote social skills, and stimulate creativity and concentration.

Classes are conducted at primary and secondary schools during school hours and after school. The Academy’s international drama curriculum is used exclusively in these schools and students can progress from 3-18 years without ever repeating a lesson. All teachers employed by the Academy are thoroughly trained in the Helen O’Grady system.

The following options are offered to schools:

Academic Year Programme: In Curriculum

We visit a school for a full term and conduct the programme during school hours, as part of the school curriculum. Such classes can be Kindy Drama (3-5 years), Lower Primary (5-8 years), (Upper Primary 9-12 years), and Youth Theatre (13-18 years). Our academic year long programme includes several displays of presentations, parents’ day mid- term, and a short scripted production at the end of the school year.

Academic Year Programme: After School Programme

We conduct our yearly programme (as described above) on school premises directly after school hours for students attending the school, and also for students from the neighborhood. The classes can be conducted once or twice in a week. We cater separately to Kindy Drama, Lower Primary, Upper Primary and Youth Theatre classes. We are able to accommodate 20-25 students per class.
